Privacy Policy

Your privacy is of utmost importance to us, and we strive to earn your trust by safeguarding personal information. Our goal is to ensure you fully understand what data we collect, why we need it, how it is used, and what control options you have over this information. This Privacy Policy outlines our principles for protecting your privacy, while we aim to avoid complicated legal and technical terminology.

This “Privacy Policy” (hereinafter referred to as the “Policy”) is a legal agreement between the “Tabor” dating service (hereinafter referred to as the “Administration”) and an individual using this service (hereinafter referred to as the “User”).

The “Tabor” dating service (hereinafter “Platform”) comprises the https://tabor.ru website and the “Tabor” mobile application. The “Platform” is operated by Tabor LLC, legally registered in the Russian Federation under Taxpayer Identification Number (INN) 6732205511 and Primary State Registration Number (OGRN) 1206700020460, located at: Smolensk, Matrosova Street, Building 16, Premises 1, Office 20, phone: +79809495852.

This Policy takes effect once the User expresses their consent to its terms by registering on the website or in the mobile application.

The Administration reserves the right to make changes to this Policy without prior notice. The amended version of the Policy becomes effective upon publication, unless otherwise specified in the new edition.

The current version of the Policy is always available at: https://api.tabor.ru/v1/policy.html?application=Tabor&language=eng&project=ios

1. Information We Collect

Your decision to use our services implies providing certain information. Such information includes:

1.1. When registering an account, you provide at least your phone number and email address. These contact details will not be viewable by other users of the Platform. You also share the essential information required for the Platform’s functionality, including your gender, date of birth, and name or nickname.

1.2. By filling out your profile information, you may provide us with additional details: dating goals, marital status, presence of children, your attributes (height, weight, eye color), hobbies, profession, financial status, housing and car ownership, education level, personality traits, life priorities, and attitude towards smoking and alcohol. This information, except for your phone number and email, will be used for display in your profile and will enable other Platform users to find you by specified criteria in search. By providing us with such data, you consent to its use for the aforementioned purposes in accordance with the current Privacy Policy.

1.3. You also have the option to add content such as photos, images, text, or videos to the Feed, as well as upload personal images to your profile albums. To upload such content, you may be required to grant us access to your device’s camera or photo gallery, if required by the operating system.

This camera access is requested solely at your initiative, for example, to upload a selfie. The application does not use the camera in the background without your knowledge. If you choose not to grant access, certain features (e.g., instant photo capture) may be unavailable, but you will still be able to use the rest of the application’s functionalities.

Microphone access may be required to make voice calls and record voice messages within the Platform. It is requested only at the moment you initiate a voice function (call, sending an audio message). The application does not conduct hidden recording and does not activate the microphone without your consent.

1.4. When purchasing paid services or making transactions directly through our website or application (rather than through third-party platforms such as iOS or Android), you provide us with information related to your purchases, and to our payment systems—payment data such as your bank card number or other financial information.

1.5. If you contact our support service, we collect the information you provide during the interaction.

1.6. If you take psychological tests on our platform, we store your answers and test results.

1.7. We also process your conversations with other users and content you post in order to ensure the service functions and to maintain the security of our community.

1.8. Your text comments on photos, statuses, or Feed posts on the platform are also stored and processed by us.

1.9. We also process your evaluations (likes, reactions) and comments you leave under other users’ photos, as well as record the visits to your profile by other participants (“guest” lists). This information is displayed only to you and is not passed on to third parties.

2. Information Created or Collected Automatically While Using the Platform’s Services

2.1. During interaction with our services, we receive technical information about which specific features you use, how you use them, and which devices you use to access our services.

2.2. Information about the use of services: Your actions within our services generate data about your activity, including but not limited to login times, features used, actions taken, information displayed to you, as well as interaction with other users (for example, people you chat with, interact with, exchange messages and comments with, evaluate their photos and posts, send likes, and view profiles).

2.3. Information about devices: We collect data about the devices you use to access our services, including hardware and software information such as IP address, device ID and type, settings and characteristics of the applications used, application errors, and advertising identifiers (randomly generated numbers that can be reset in the device settings and, in some cases, completely disabled), as well as identifiers associated with cookies or other technologies capable of uniquely identifying your device or browser.

2.4. Information collected through cookies and similar technologies: We use and may allow third parties to use cookies and similar technologies (for example, web beacons, pixels, SDK) to recognize you and/or your device.

2.5. We use the Firebase (Google) and Yandex.AppMetrica analytics services to gather statistics, perform diagnostics, and improve the application. They may process anonymized device identifiers, data on interaction with the Platform (views, sessions, errors). Personal information (e.g., email or phone) is not transferred to these services. You can find Google’s and Yandex’s privacy policies at:
https://policies.google.com/privacy
https://yandex.ru/legal/confidential/
This data helps us adjust the Platform’s functionality and promptly fix any bugs, without disclosing users’ confidential information.

3. How We Use the Information

We use the information you provide for several key purposes:

3.1. Managing the Account and Providing Services.

3.2. Facilitating Interaction with Other Users.

3.3. Offers and Conducting Advertising Campaigns.

3.4. Improving and Developing New Services.

These activities help us not only deliver a more effective and personalized service, but also maintain safety and relevance of offers for each user.

3.5. Preventing and Combating Fraud and Other Illegal or Unauthorized Activities.

3.6. Compliance with Legal Requirements

The information collected by the Platform is used to block harmful actions and comply with legislative requirements, ensuring order on the Platform. This includes protecting individual users and the community, as well as interaction with law enforcement and government institutions to comply with laws, and guaranteeing the protection of the rights and safety of users and society.

The processing of your information is carried out to fulfill the conditions between us, including managing your account and profile, making them visible to other users, as well as offering you potentially suitable matches and providing you with both free and paid features of our service.

3.6.1. Legal bases for processing: We process your data based on legitimate interests, for example, by improving our services through user behavior analysis, providing relevant offers, promoting our services, ensuring user safety, as well as protecting our rights and cooperating with law enforcement when necessary.

3.6.2. Compliance with legislation: Your data is also processed in order to comply with legal requirements, including storing traffic and transaction data in accordance with accounting and tax laws, as well as enabling responses to law enforcement queries and confirming the consents provided to us by users.

3.6.3. Consent: In cases where you provide data that may be considered “special” or “sensitive,” such as information about your sexual orientation, you consent to its processing in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Your consent can be revoked at any time by contacting us using the contact information provided at the end of this Policy.

3.6.4. The purpose of our platform is to facilitate the establishment of meaningful connections, so information exchange primarily occurs between users. We also transfer data to third parties, including service providers and partners that help us render services, and in some situations, to law enforcement agencies. Below is more detailed information about how and with whom we share your data.

3.6.5. With other users: Your data may be available to other users as part of your usage of the service, for example when you publish information in your profile. Please exercise caution and only share content that you find acceptable for public disclosure. You can adjust the privacy settings of your profile or certain details so that they are available to a limited audience of your choice. If a complaint arises related to your profile (for example, an allegation that you have violated the User Agreement), we may inform the complainant of the measures we have taken in response to their complaint.

3.6.6. With service providers and partners: We collaborate with external organizations that help us manage and improve our services. This includes, but is not limited to, hosting, data servicing, analytics, customer service, marketing, advertising, payment processing, and security. We also share data with partners that help us distribute and advertise our services. For example, we may pass information about you in hashed and anonymized form to our advertising partners.

3.6.7. We adhere to strict selection criteria when choosing service providers and establishing partnerships. All our providers and partners agree to abide by stringent confidentiality obligations.

3.6.8. Sharing functions: You can share other users’ profiles, and they, in turn, may share your profile outside our service by using the sharing feature.

3.6.9. In corporate transactions: Your information may be transferred to third parties in the event of our involvement in a merger, asset sale, acquisition, demerger, restructuring, reorganization, liquidation, bankruptcy, or change of ownership or management of the company, in whole or in part.

3.6.10. In interaction with law enforcement or as required by law: We may disclose your information when necessary to comply with legal procedures such as court orders, subpoenas, or warrants, in investigations by law enforcement, or other legal requirements; to assist in the prevention or investigation of crimes (in accordance with applicable law); or to protect the safety of any person.

3.6.11. For protecting legitimate interests: We may also share information in cases where it helps reduce our liability in real or potential legal proceedings; to protect our legitimate rights, or the rights of our users, business partners, or other interested parties; to enforce our agreements with you; as well as to investigate, prevent, or act against illegal activities, suspected fraud, or other violations.

Use and transfer of non-personally identifiable information: In our activities, we process information that cannot directly identify you, such as data on device usage, publicly available demographic and behavioral data, as well as location data in anonymized form. This information can be used on its own or combined with personal information in hashed and encrypted form to ensure the security of its use.

Transferring information to third parties for advertising: We may also share this type of information with third parties, such as advertisers, in order to develop and deliver targeted advertising on our platforms, as well as on third-party websites and applications. This enables advertisers to more accurately select advertising that will be shown to users, based on their interests and online behavior.

Analysis and reporting: The information we collect may be used to analyze and create reports on advertising performance, helping not only advertisers but also us to understand which advertising campaigns are most effective.

Combining information: To enhance the quality of our services, we may combine non-personally identifiable information with other similar information obtained from other sources, using hashing or other methods to ensure it is not human-readable. This allows us to form a more complete picture of our users’ preferences and interests so as to offer them more personalized services and advertising.

4. Control Options and Your Rights Over Your Information

We highly value your ability to control your personal information and offer various tools for that purpose:

4.1. Access/Update Tools in the Service: You can use the account tools and settings to access, update, or delete your information, if possible directly through the service interface. If you experience difficulties or have questions about using these tools, our support team is ready to assist you.

4.2. Device Permissions: Mobile devices typically have permission settings for accessing various features like photos, push notifications, and advertising identifiers. You have full control over these permissions and can change them at any time in your device’s settings. Note that changing these settings may affect available features and their functionality.

If you allow access to the camera, microphone, or media library, the application will only use these features at times when you specifically initiate them (for example, taking a photo or recording an audio message). You can revoke these permissions at any time in your iOS system settings (Settings → Privacy), and the application will adjust accordingly to your choice.

4.2.1. Push Notifications
When you first launch the application, you give your consent to receive push notifications. These notifications can contain information about new messages, actions taken by other users (likes, comments), or system messages. You can set the types of notifications (for example, disabling marketing messages) or completely block them at any time by going to the app settings or iOS Notifications settings.

4.3. Deleting the Application: If you decide that you no longer want the app to collect any data, you can always delete the app from your device using the standard removal process for your platform.

We are committed to respecting your choices and providing clear and understandable instructions on how to manage your information and what the consequences might be for your use of our services.

To ensure the security of your data and that of other users, we may require confirmation of your identity before fulfilling requests for access to information. Please note that we reserve the right to refuse a request if we cannot verify your identity, if the request is illegal or unfounded, or if fulfilling it could reveal trade secrets, intellectual property, or violate the privacy rights of third parties. If you wish to obtain information about another user, for example copies of messages from them, that user must provide us with their written permission as well as identity confirmation. We may also decline requests to modify or restrict the processing of personal data if that would prevent us from providing you with our services. For example, we cannot offer you our service without your date of birth, since we cannot confirm that you are at least 18 years old.

5. How Long We Retain Your Information

We keep your personal information only as long as it is necessary to fulfill our legitimate business purposes and comply with applicable legislation. If you decide to stop using our services, you can delete your account, and your profile will become unavailable to other users. Please note that your account will be automatically closed after six months of inactivity. Closure of your account will result in the deletion of your personal information, but with certain exceptions described below:

We set a retention period of 180 days after initiating the account deletion process or one year after its blocking, in order to ensure the security of our platform and its users. During this time, we keep your information in case investigations of illegal or malicious activity are needed. This data retention is based on legitimate interests—both ours and those of potential third parties.

After the end of the safe retention period, we delete your data, while reserving the right to store limited information for the following purposes:

We also provide a convenient account deletion mechanism directly in the application. If you choose the “Delete Account” option in the settings (or in the “Profile” section), we initiate the process of removing your personal data, which concludes within a reasonable timeframe. If you cannot delete your account on your own, please contact support; we may request proof of identity to ensure the request comes from the account owner.

6. Children Are Not Admitted

The platform we provide is designed exclusively for use by adults—individuals who are 18 years of age or older. Our platform is strictly not intended for persons under 18. If you have reason to believe that a user has not reached this age threshold, please use the option to report the profile via the functions of our Platform.

7. What Are “Cookies” and Which Cookies Are Used on the Site?

We collect data using cookies that are stored in your internet browser on your computer or mobile device. Cookies are files that a web browser stores to collect information about your visit to the site, help recognize you each time you return to the site, and ensure its proper functioning. Below you will find explanations of why we use cookies.

Site Authorization and Preference Personalization.
When you visit our site, a session cookie is saved, which will be deleted after closing the browser. In order for our site to recognize you on your next visit and speed up the login process, we also use persistent cookies. If you block cookies in your browser settings, some site functions may become unavailable.

User Behavior Analysis.
To analyze the use of our site and applications, we use Yandex.Metrica, which allows us to compile reports and improve the service. You can learn more about Yandex’s privacy policy by visiting https://yandex.ru/legal/confidential/.

Targeted Advertising.
Third parties, including Google, use cookies to display advertisements based on your previous visits to our site. Advertising preference cookies help Google and its partners show ads based on your interests. You can opt out of personalized ads by visiting https://adssettings.google.com/authenticated. More information on Google’s privacy policy can be found here: https://www.google.com/policies/privacy.

8. Security and Data Retention

To log in to the Platform, you must use your unique username (mobile number) and password, which are strictly personal. You are not allowed to share your credentials with others, and it is important to take all necessary steps to keep them confidential. You are responsible for their security. If your password becomes known to someone else, your personal data may be at risk. In that case, immediately inform the Support Service through the Help section and change your password in the security settings of your account. The Platform is not responsible for careless handling of personal data, and their compromise may violate the terms of the User Agreement.

The Administration takes appropriate and adequate measures to protect your data from loss, misuse, and alterations within our jurisdiction, including personal information. We employ reliable security measures to maintain the confidentiality of your data. Our IT specialists constantly work to keep the Platform secure.

However, complete data security cannot be guaranteed during transmission over the Internet or storage on a website, and we cannot ensure absolute protection against unauthorized access, hacking, data loss, or other incidents. We encourage you to take every possible precaution to keep your personal information and credentials private. The Administration is not liable for the security of data at the moment it is transmitted to the site—that responsibility lies with you. Once we receive your information, we use security systems to prevent unauthorized access. By providing us with your personal data, you consent to its processing, including collection, storage, updating, use, transfer, and deletion.

To comply with Apple’s privacy rules (App Tracking Transparency), if our application wishes to use your advertising identifier (IDFA) for cross-app tracking, the iOS system will request your separate consent. If you refuse, you can still use the main features of the Platform, but the advertising (if present) may be less personalized. You can change your decision at any time in iOS settings (Settings → Privacy → Tracking).

9. Changes to the Privacy Policy

Since we constantly look for new and innovative ways to help you build meaningful connections and aim to ensure our explanations about how we handle data remain up-to-date, this policy may change over time.

If you have questions regarding our privacy policy or about how we collect and use personal data, please contact us through the Help form or get in touch with our Data Protection Officer at support@tabor.ru.
